Mon 9/13- CW: completed a Kahoot review to prep for quiz tomorrow; worked on 9/11 Graffiti Project;HW: study your maps & note & slides about the characteristics of US and NC regions; 9/11 Graffiti Project due date is extended- now due Friday at the top of class.
Week of September 8-10
Wed 9/8- CW: Guest Speakers- Meet and Greet with Mr. Griffith and Ms. Cox, reviewed and corrected the NC map worksheets; began examining characteristics of US Regions and taking notes on this information; HW: complete the notes on US Regions; Quiz on NC/US geography is Tuesday 9/14- study your maps, notes and slides
Thurs 9/9- CW: review and add to the notes on US regions, complete the Essential Question and submit US regions assignment, begin map work for US regions/geography; HW: complete the first and second sections on the US map worksheet
Fri 9/10- CW: Complete the reading task and the 9/11 Graffiti Wall Project commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11; HW: Graffiti Wall project is due 9/14; Review for Geo Quiz (Tuesday)
Week of August 30-September 3
Mon 8/30-CW: Introduced NC geography (NC REGIONS notes in GC), began taking notes on the Tidewater region using the information from the NC REGIONS slides, finalized plans for Field Trip Proposal; HW: FT Proposal tomorrow
Tues 8/31- CW: presented the Field Trip Proposals and voted and finalists; HW: complete the Tidewater and Coastal Plain sections of your NC regions Notes Chart
Wed 9/1- CW- reviewed the notes on Tidewater and Coastal Plain; took notes on Piedmont HW: complete the notes on the Piedmont and Mountains (notes will be used on a comprehension check after we go over it in class tomorrow)
Thurs 9/2- CW: reviewed the notes on the Piedmont and Mountains, completed a Comprehension Check on NC regions (in GC), began working on locating places and geographic features on NC maps; HW: none
Fri 9/3- CW: continued working on maps, voted on Field Trip and StuCo leaders; HW: none

Mon8/23- CW: reviewed class expectations/procedures,get to know you activity; HW: have parents complete the first day papers and GOLD STUDENT DATA sheet and return them
Tues 8/24 & Wed 8/25- We have continued to get to know each other and review policies and procedures, worked on team building and received laptops; HW: be sure to return your first day papers by tomorrow and CHARGE YOUR LAPTOP
Thurs 8/26- CW: continued to get to know each other and the expectations; began FIELD TRIP PROPOSAL assignment (on GC) and will continue to work on it tomorrow in class; HW: charge your laptop; return first day papers
